Crossing into California. The skies still grey, the coastal fog persists, and the temperatures remain cool. No complaints, though. The weather could be far more uncooperative and ugly.

Descending around a turn to reveal the first view of the California coast.

The water’s a bit chilly! Never grow tired of imposing rocks dotting the shore, a prominent feature in southern Oregon and the northernmost stretches of California.

Del Norte Redwoods State Park. Lush greens everywhere. Massive redwood trees towering immediately beside the road. The air feels fresher in here, for sure.

Riding along Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway, a beauty stretch of road in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Old-growth groves of coastal redwoods all over the park. Pictures can’t fully capture how impressive these centuries-old trees look in real life. One of my favourite moments of riding along the coast so far.
