About 3000km of cycling from Vancouver to San Diego. A memorable ride for countless reasons, no doubt. Feels right to end this adventure, here and for now, and return to more familiar people and places... Keep striving to learn, live, love, and give wherever I go. #NoMoreRamen #TillNextTime #PacificCoastCycling #IceCubesAreALuxury
This is a long-overdue shout-out to every dose of generosity and kindness I’ve received from strangers on this Pacific Coast ride. Whether gifted in the form of words, food, accommodations, coffee, or a friendly honk, I’ve cherished them all. These pictures are from a recent evening at El Capitan State Beach... Soon after a fellow cyclist and I arrived at another campground after a particularly long day of riding, these angels from a neighbouring campsite unexpectedly delivered an amazing Mexican-style dinner, an ice-cold Gatorade, and a plate of s’mores. Simply because they thought we might appreciate the meal [We did!]... More than any scene or view, these are the connections that carry the greatest meaning. Awesome people are everywhere. Often, all it takes is opening up and shining a light. [Thank You]
